Artistic plaster work

What we did

Working with ornamental stucco today is an act of both translation and preservation. Each flourish, cornice, and panel must be approached with a mastery of proportion, rhythm, and relief. But in modern contexts, there’s an added demand for technical integration, accommodating HVAC, lighting, or acoustic needs without interrupting the visual flow. Our team uses both traditional hand-casting methods and digitally guided replication to achieve this balance, often blending new motifs seamlessly into original structures.

The nuance lies in modulation, knowing where to elevate, where to simplify, and when to let silence speak. Stucco, by nature, catches shadow and breathes with the room. Its beauty is never flat. In this residence, we treated it not as a backdrop, but as an instrument, layering detail where intimacy was needed, opening form where volume mattered. The craftsmanship is not only in the ornament, but in how it connects to the architecture and lives with the light.

Above, a ceiling of ornate stucco came to life once again, its hand-carved motifs cleaned, repaired, and redefined to reveal the artistry embedded in its surfaces. Where time had softened detail, we carefully sculpted it back into focus. We collaborate closely with designers, architects, and clients to ensure the scale, style, and texture of the plasterwork harmonize with the overall design vision. Using custom molds and hand-finished detailing, we craft pieces that feel timeless yet tailored, ideal for spaces that seek elegance without excess. Whether you’re preserving a historic language or giving it a fresh, architectural voice, our plasterwork becomes a statement of enduring beauty.
